Many students showed up at the town hall meeting, perhaps over a hundred. The junior common room was packed. There were two major items on the agenda though. The first was the firing of Mark St. John; David Levine and Michael Peters said that they would not discuss personnel issues. The second was the toning down of reality. The college introduced new rules on the grounds that it would be inappropriate to throw a big alcohol-filled party a week after a student had been injured in an alcohol-related accident. The changes in reality have subsequently been made permanent and are now in the student handbook.
